Celebration of Employment

To celebrate not being laid off today - I spent my LYS gift certificate I received for Christmas. (plus a little more)
Yes, I know. A NEEDLE. And a very practical book. But the Alice Starmore book was very NOT practical. And there are a few designs I might make - most of which are textured patterns, not colourwork patterns. I would actually like to use some of my yarn stash to do one of these sweaters, but need to spend some time pawing through my stash to see what would work. Plus the book needs to age in my bookshelf properly first.

What’s this about NOT getting laid off? You scared me there!! I can’t be there on saturday to hear details, so spill ‘em, girl!

I’m glad you survived the layoff. Tudor Roses has some wonderful designs. Catherine Parr without bobbles is my favorite, then Elizabeth 1 and the stitch pattern from Elizabeth of York. they are all on my long, long list of projects, that I’d like to knit. Knitter’s Handbook is better than Vogue imho.

That’s a nice haul! Isn’t Tudor Roses wonderful eye candy? If I ever pluck up the courage Margaret Tudor or Elizabeth I are the two I would attempt.
