Hi,

Does your Schacht rattle when you spin? I've just received my Ladybug and love the way it is spinning except for the rattling! The rattle seems to come from the bobbin/whorl which still has a little room to move back and forth on the flyer shaft. It's not terribly loud, but I prefer whirring to rrattling when I spin :)

Hi,

I'm curious about any second impressions you might have about these two wheels now that you've had the Rose for a while.
I have a Majacraft Suzie and am awaiting arrival of a Schacht Ladybug. I have always thought I would buy a Matchless someday, but have never had the opportunity to try one out.
The Rimu wood on the Majacraft wheels is very soft and marks easily so I don't like transporting mine (that's why I went for the Ladybug).

I've just learned to spin on a drop spindle and have already begun researching spinning wheels. The Schacht and Rose are two that I've been eyeing keenly. I look forward to hearing second impressions (especially on the Rose). Thanks for the review.
