Peacock yarn (again)

Peacock yarn (by Nancy Walsh)

Finally got the yarn washed and dried. 8 ounces of fingering weight, three ply yarn in superwash merino. The singles were spun on a drop spindle, Ashford Joy (single treadle), Lendrum, Ashford joy (double treadle) and plied on a butterfly electric spinner.

I can’t wait to knit with it!

Wow! I didn’t know you could mix the spinning methods up like that. (Obviously a novice spinner speaking.) I enjoy spindle spinning, but it’s a lot slower than wheel spinning. I figured once I started with one method, I had to stick with it until I had finished that bit of fiber.

Thanks for freeing me from that thralldom.

I don’t spin, but wow- those colors are stunning! I LOVE the blend of colors and the lustrious sheen in them. Beautiful!

    Hi!
I am curious about your Butterfly Electric spinner….does it have a woolee winder? If so, do you happen to have a Woolee Winder for your Lendrum as well? I have a Lendrum with WW and I was wondering if you have been able to use the same WW bobbins of your Lendrum on your Butterfly electric spinner….
…I am contemplating buying a Butterfly spinner (you have the one made by Jerry Womack right?)….and would love to be able to use bobbins I already own!
Thanks for any feedback on this!
